Podcast Episode 20: IT security in logistics

Phishing, ransomware and, most recently, methods of attack based on AI, such as deepfakes or voice cloning – the threats from the Internet are becoming more and more complicated for companies. The cyber-attacks are making their way through every sector and, in particular, have steadily increased since the outbreak of the Ukraine War. In the new episode of Logistics People Talk, Stefan Klopocki, Division Manager for Information Security Management in the Rhenus Corporate IT department, outlines what companies can do to face this challenge.

The consequences are often serious: services are no longer accessible, production may be halted or sensitive data is stolen. These operational breakdowns in turn lead to losses in turnover, high costs for restoring the data as well as damage to the reputation of firms. Only those who permanently keep pace with the innovative energy of the cyber-criminals will be able to effectively protect themselves. “The attackers are technically very well-equipped and use the same modern technologies as we do. Both sides use their tools to oppose each other – and the complexity of the attacks is therefore continuing to increase all the time,” Stefan Klopocki explains in the podcast.

To find out more about the possibilities for logistics companies and what measures the Rhenus Group is taking to protect its systems as effectively as possible against the threat from the Internet, check out the latest episode of "Logistics People Talk". Have a listen now!
