    Frequently asked questions

Short sea shipping refers to maritime transport over relatively short distances, mainly within Europe. It complements road, rail and inland waterway transport and can be integrated into multimodal supply chain concepts.

As a global logistics transport company, we can transport all types of cargo: general goods, liquid freight, bulk, breakbulk and oversized project cargo. In Finland, we also specialize in forest product logistics industry via inland waterways such as logs, sawn timber, pulplogs, woodpulp and telegraph poles.

Short sea shipping is an additional transportation option within multimodal supply chains. Depending on the route, cargo characteristics and operational requirements, it can be considered alongside road, rail and inland waterway transport. Regular departures and multimodal connections support transportation planning and supply chain coordination.

Door-to-door logistics reduce handling risks, prevents damage and ensures fast, reliable delivery from origin to destination – with fewer process steps and higher quality throughout the chain.
