To cope with the growth of its distribution business for products from the ENR "New and Renewable Energies" family (air conditioning systems, heat pumps, etc.), Saint-Gobain has made a commitment to Rhenus for storage and distribution to agencies and customers located in the northern part of France. The products were received at the Gretz-Armainvilliers warehouse in March in order to prepare for the hoped-for recovery after lockdown. Logistics operations require four levels of order preparation; products are packaged individually, in bags, cartons or on pallets.
With its national warehouse located in the Toulouse region reaching saturation point, Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France was looking for a new logistics site located south-east of Paris to serve the northern half of France and meet growing market demand. Rhenus responded perfectly to the expectations by offering a suitable technical solution at its Gretz site. "The launch of the "ENR Nord" logistics platform under these circumstances is a great success made possible by the mobilisation of the Rhenus teams," emphasises Vincent Simille, ENR Logistics Director.
"As an expert in specialised retail logistics for both consumer and industrial products, we have undisputed know-how for the precise and sensitive logistics that our customer expects", explains Laurent Schuster, President of Rhenus Logistics France.
