The contract covers all logistics services for the Lascana brand, whose products include lingerie, swimwear and beachwear. In a pilot project, an automated system was set up to improve the storage and order picking of goods, making the order picking process faster and easier. Employees no longer have to take the fashion items from the shelves and thus have significantly shorter walking distances.
"In recent years, we have repeatedly invested heavily in the Eisenach site. Two more large halls were built in 2018, and now we have introduced this innovative order picking system, which means that we are well prepared for the tasks for the Otto Group that lie ahead," says Dr. Kerstin Stegner, Regional Manager Central at Rhenus Contract Logistics.
"What we need now are committed new employees who will support us in our contracts. We would be especially pleased to receive applications from the region," adds plant manager Jennifer Thomas. "Our site has a very low fluctuation rate, not least because our employees benefit from many company benefits such as health courses, partnerships with fitness studios and bonuses.
In addition to storage and picking, the employees at the site also perform many other tasks, including the preparation of textiles. Ironing, sewing on buttons and attaching labels and care instructions are also part of our range of activities.
