Rhenus Home Delivery becomes majority shareholder of Totalmédia Group

Rhenus Home Delivery, the specialist for deliveries to customers in the B2C sector, acquired a further 25.2% of the shares in the Totalmédia Group on 31 January. With this increase, Rhenus Home Delivery becomes the main shareholder of the Iberian logistics group. This aligns seamlessly with the broader European vision of fostering interconnectedness and excellence in logistics, reinforcing the commitment of Rhenus Home Delivery to providing a high-quality last-mile delivery service on the Iberian Peninsula.

This current stake adds to the 49.9% of the shares acquired in December 2022 which enabled Rhenus Home Delivery to enter the Iberian market. Rhenus Home Delivery will thus become the majority shareholder, with a 75.1% stake, in the Totalmédia Group.

Totalmédia Group, which has its headquarters in Lisbon and operates in Portugal and Spain, includes TNB, TTM Entregas ao Domicílio, Home Logistics and Sama Logística, units specialised in delivering heavy and bulky goods and providing transportation and other services related to assembly, packaging and warehousing.

The company’s participation in Totalmédia Group raised the number of consignments delivered annually up to 7 million in Europe in 2023 and made Rhenus Home Delivery the European market leader for home and living logistics on the last mile. Now, Rhenus Home Delivery’s clients can reach almost 60 million potential customers on the Iberian Peninsula, to whom the last-mile specialist delivers.

A further strengthening of Rhenus Home Delivery's position as a shareholder in the Portuguese Group, founded in 1998, is planned for 2026.
