The first logistics site, with a surface area of 18,000 square metres and comprising three 6,000 square metre cells, is a multi-client warehouse located in Saint-Quentin Fallavier (east of Lyon). Currently being fitted out, it will be operational from the beginning of January 2022 for a new industrial customer. It will also accommodate other existing Rhenus customers in order to free up space on other sites in the Lyon region and allow other companies to benefit from additional storage area.
In the Paris region, in Châtres, an 18,000 square metre warehouse divided into three 6,000 square metre cells will also be opened in the first quarter of 2022. Designed for multi-client activities, it will receive a new client from April 2022. New contracts won by Rhenus will be announced in due course.
“The opening of these new sites is part of our 2020-2025 development plan, which provides for an increase in our warehousing capacity for existing and new customers, in line with a ten percent annual increase in our turnover over this period. Several other projects are already being negotiated for the first half of 2022, as well as the construction of a new temperature-controlled warehouse for healthcare products at the port of Strasbourg,” says Laurent Schuster, Managing Director of Rhenus Logistics France.
