The managing director and sole shareholder, Nazmi Sahintürk, has been operating the Simplepaper archive service business, which emerged from Rainer Förster Aktenservice, since 2009. Simplepaper offers physical and digital storage for business documents at two sites in Munich and Garching. The company’s portfolio also includes services to outsource business processes.
Rhenus Archive Services is taking over several hundred customer agreements and enormous stocks of files. “We’re very happy to welcome the customers and will have the opportunity in future of offering these regular clients all the services provided by the Rhenus Office Systems Group related to physical and digital document and information logistics, as well as archiving,” says Jens Kumbrink, Managing Director of Rhenus Office Systems.
Till-Martin Schuldt, Managing Director of Rhenus Archive Systems, adds, “This takeover continues the trend of market consolidation, which has developed as a result of the increasing digitalisation of business processes. Fairly small archive services providers are increasingly thinking about selling their physical archives, as they’re now feeling the effects of the decline in business. The physical storage of documents is no longer sufficient if you don’t add a sustainable digital business model.”
“We’ve decided at Simplepaper to focus on our strength of providing special solutions in a digital context in future. We’ve found a solid purchaser in Rhenus Archive Services and our previous archive customers will be in good hands there. We’ve been impressed by the fact that Rhenus, which is a family-managed business, focuses on its customers to an enormous degree and is able to really provide the service, which has been conceived for many years on the basis of the statutory retention periods, in the long term and constantly enhance it with innovative developments,” says Nazmi Sahintürk, Managing Director and the sole shareholder of Simplepaper Archive Management, commenting on the transition.
Rhenus Archive Services operates in several European countries beyond Germany and has a network of 24 security archive sites within Europe; they are certified in line with ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).
