“Great Britain is one of the key markets in Europe for our customers and for us. We’re delighted that we’re able to strengthen our business activities in Europe through the takeover of Lupprians UK and will be able to offer our joint customers more consistent services,” says Michael Boos, Managing Director of Rhenus Midi Data, giving the reasons for the acquisition of the company.
Lupprians UK has business operations at four sites – London, Milton Keynes, Manchester and Glasgow – and serves the complete British market from these centres. The high-tech logistics services provider has a modern fleet of vehicles and has been part of the TecDis network founded by Rhenus for technical distribution services since June this year.
Lupprians UK specialises in logistics services in the following sectors: health care, IT/storage media, telecommunications, laboratory equipment, banking/commerce and infrastructure. For example, the company manages projects at railway stations and airports and installs air conditioning and ventilation units, automatic ticket machines and access control systems.
“Rhenus Midi Data and Lupprians UK complement each other in the best possible way. Both companies are leading players in their national markets and pursue the same goal of providing satisfaction for their customers. By integrating Lupprians UK in our network, we can offer a broader range of services and are looking forward to welcoming more than 185 specialists to the high-tech services world at
Rhenus,” says Dr. Stephan Peters, a Member of the Rhenus Board.
Lupprians UK will retain its own brand and the experienced management team will continue its successful work. “As a result of becoming part of the Rhenus Group, we can press ahead with expanding our international business and offer our customers enhanced solutions. But we’re also strengthening our position for high-tech logistics in the British market,” says John Fletcher, Managing Director of Lupprians UK.
