Rhenus Italy, a leading logistics specialist, has opened a new branch in Roncadelle in the province of Brescia in Lombardy. It is located near the Brescia Ovest exit of the A4 motorway. The building covers a total area of about 20,000 square metres, of which 6,500 square metres are covered area and the remaining uncovered, with an increase of more than 50 per cent compared to the space available in the previous location. In Brescia, Rhenus Italy offers international road freight, air & ocean freight, warehousing, home delivery and last mile services.
The integration of the supply chain, as a distinctive element also for the upcoming openings of new warehouses, will allow Rhenus Italy to expand its services: there will be the possibility of having more space for the storage of goods and offering its customers fully integrated international and national transport for optimal organization in the inbound, storage and outbound phases.
“We are happy to have chosen Roncadelle as our new branch”, said Guglielmo Davide Tassone, Managing Director of Rhenus Italy. "The opening of the branch in Roncadelle is part of our growth plan, which includes the opening of new major logistics centres in Italy and further expansions of offices and warehouses in larger, more modern structures and in strategic locations. This will allow us to organize the management of the integrated supply chain in a more efficient way.”
Until today, Rhenus Italy has 34 branches that connect, with dedicated lines, the main hubs in Europe and in non-EU countries with different types of services that also include customs assistance. In the Lombardy Region, the company is currently present with more than seven branches in the provinces of Milan, Como and Brescia including the recent accomplishment of the Melzo facility at the east of Milan with over 30,000 square metres covered.
