The brand-new sustainable development, known as the ‘Rhenus Campus’, will be home to two warehouses, totalling one million square feet – the equivalent of 36 football pitches.
The second warehouse is the bigger one of the two distribution centres (DC’S) and measures 771,000 square feet. The first warehouse, measuring 210,000 square feet, had its roof installed in October 2022.
The campus will provide customers in a range of sectors, including fashion and apparel, health and beauty, toys, homeware and consumer goods, with high-quality service, innovative warehousing and distribution services. Rhenus utilises the latest emerging technologies to provide efficient storage, B2B and B2C order fulfilment, value-added services and comprehensive returns management.
The ‘Rhenus Campus’ will also have a particular focus on environmental and social elements, using renewable energy generated on-site, helping customers to achieve their own net zero goals and ensuring the development is climate neutral.
