John Deere, which manufactures agricultural machinery equipment, forestry and construction machines, depends on having reliable and highly qualified partners. Rhenus Automotive has won the “Achieving Excellence – Partner Level Status” Award every year since it set up its logistics centre in Mannheim. The prize represents the highest award that John Deere can present to suppliers and service providers. It stands for high product quality and particularly good services for the client. At the same time, it acknowledges the supplier’s commitment to continually improve its own services.
Rhenus Automotive handles services for John Deere along the entire supply chain: in addition to warehousing, picking and sequencing goods and even pre-assembly work, the range of tasks handled by Rhenus Automotive in Mannheim includes processing empty containers and managing the spare parts. Rhenus also manages all the incoming goods and provides customs clearance for the items at the John Deere branch in Mannheim.
In order to nominate service providers as partners, John Deere assesses all the services that have been provided during any financial year according to factors that have been specified in advance. The most important criteria are delivery reliability, innovative cooperation, loyalty and setting appropriate prices. As Rhenus Automotive has gained the award for the tenth time in succession this year, John Deere has paid tribute to the many years of excellent services with a separate award known as “10 Years Hall of Fame – Achieving Excellence”. “We’re really delighted to have received John Deere’s highest award for ten years in succession. Our inclusion in the Hall of Fame symbolically represents our long-standing, but particularly our partner-like business relations with John Deere,” says Thomas Bernhardt, Managing Director and COO of Rhenus Automotive.
