The logistics specialist, Rhenus, is attending this year’s Breakbulk Europe trade fair and, among other things, is using the exhibition to give a platform to international representatives from and for North and South America, Europe, South-East Asia and India. The event is being held in Rotterdam for the second time in succession. Rhenus operates its “Maasvlakte” Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal there as well as the “Waalhaven” terminal close to the city centre.
Rhenus is focusing on the topic of renewable energy sources in logistics on its stand. “Given the finite nature of fossil fuels, generating energy from renewable sources is one of the most important topics on the agenda of politicians and the business world. As logistics specialists, we too need to come up with new ideas and concepts for renewable energy sources such as wind power, solar energy or biomass,” says Carsten Schröter, COO at Rhenus Project Logistics, explaining the background. In addition to sharing ideas about the topic, stand visitors can also enjoy a prize draw. Rhenus will draw lots to enable the winner to participate in ten transport engineering service sessions free of charge. The company is also inviting guests to an exclusive event on one of the evenings.
“We’re really looking forward to the event! It represents an important international specialist forum for us and it’s a sector meeting point for those involved in project logistics and we want to use it to expand and intensify our customer relations,” Carsten Schröter adds.
Visitors can find the logistics experts both on the Rhenus stand in hall 1, stand 1B10 and on the Port of Rotterdam stand 2B10 in hall 2.2.
