Founded in 1933 in Lure (Haute-Saône), the Vetoquinol group is celebrating its ninetieth anniversary this year. Currently present in 24 countries in Europe, North and South America and Asia-Pacific, the manufacturer of veterinary products employs more than 2,500 people worldwide. In order to consolidate its product distribution logistics across Europe and to meet the challenges of the future, the company has decided to outsource its logistics to a European distribution centre, which will be managed by Rhenus in its new Strasbourg warehouse equipped with 15°C/25°C and 2°C/8°C temperature-controlled cells.
"In order to guarantee the growth of our company and industrialise the distribution of our products in France and Europe, we have chosen to outsource the distribution logistics of our products to Rhenus. Their expertise in healthcare products, the availability of a new temperature-controlled multi-client warehouse in Strasbourg, and the proximity of our factories convinced us to choose Rhenus for this first outsourcing", explains Dominique Dervaux, Managing Director at Vetoquinol.
This logistics activity is unique in the fact that it involves products that are subject to very strict regulations, requiring compliance with the cold chain and good distribution practices.
"We are very happy with this new partnership with Vetoquinol, a major player in animal health. Our regular investments in new logistics capacities enable us to support the growth of French industrial companies in international markets. Our new platform in Strasbourg, dedicated to the logistics of healthcare products, is perfectly suited to the needs of companies in this sector," says Laurent Schuster, CEO of Rhenus Logistics France.
