Specifically, the results from the individual areas are at least in the top third and therefore above the industry average - environment (top six percent), labour and human rights (top 22 percent), ethics (top 18 percent) and sustainable procurement (top 28 percent).
"As the Rhenus Group, we focus on resource-saving services to enable sustainable transport and supply chains for our customers," said Karsten Obert, Board member of the Rhenus Group. "The strong result in EcoVadis confirms our continuous commitment, which was only made possible by the support of all employees from all units."
Already in 2015, the Rhenus Group achieved silver status in the four assessment areas through its endeavours. The continuous introduction of further measures has enabled this silver status to be extended.
