For the first step, we collect your groupage shipment and combine it with multiple smaller shipments from various other customers at one hub for shared transportation to another hub. Upon arrival at the destination hub, the consignments are sent onward individually. This efficient solution enables you to share truck capacity with other businesses at your destination, therefore lowering transport costs and reducing environmental impact.
FTL (full-truck load) describes a shipment that occupies the entire truck capacity. By comparison, LTL (less-than-truck load) indicates that the truck is only partially filled. For efficiency, multiple LTL shipments are combined in one truck. In contrast to groupage transport, LTL freight is typically not routed through different hubs. Instead, the truck travels its route with direct loading and unloading stops at several locations.
