Meet your needs with full-truck-load services (FTL)

When large quantities need to be shipped quickly and without any intermediate stops, FTL transportation allows you to dedicate an entire truck to your goods. Your freight is loaded securely, moved directly to the recipient and unloaded at the destination.

Speed, flexibility and security combined: full-truck load

Road transport offers a high level of flexibility, supported by a vast road network that allows deliveries to practically any location. Nearly all types of goods can be transported. FTL transportation delivers enhanced speed and security since the freight stays on the truck with no additional stops. As a result, you can reach your customers more quickly, while transport costs are adjusted to match your needs.

Your benefits with FTL trucking

With full-truck loads, the entire transport is dedicated to your shipment, meaning that your requirements can be fulfilled more quickly since less coordination is necessary. The vehicle is adapted to match your specific requirements and material characteristics.

FTL transport removes additional stops and eliminates additional loading times, creating a faster and more efficient approach to meet your shipping needs.

Throughout the entire transport, your goods are kept on the required vehicle. Direct loading and unloading reduce handling steps and the need for additional load securing after loading, reducing the likelihood of damage.

Transport insurance

Freight forwarders’ liability is legally regulated and subject to limitations for international shipments. In the event of damage or loss, the compensation is often considerably lower than the actual value of the goods, and further liability exemptions often apply. To prevent possible costs caused by damage or loss, we recommend securing extra insurance protection. Available options include “all risks” insurance and individually tailored transport insurance policies, along with coverage for individual shipments or on a long-term basis.

Frequently asked questions

In the area of logistics, FTL stands for full-truck load and refers to the truck’s entire cargo area being loaded in one stop. This differentiates FTL services from LTL (less-than-truckload) and groupage transport. In these alternatives, individual partial loads are grouped together and transported in one vehicle to multiple recipients. FTL transports is the preferred option when the shipment volume is enough to use the full capacity of the loading area. It is particularly suitable for time-critical consignments since it leverages our large partner network, in-house customs expertise and our two-driver solution.

FTL trucking is the ideal option for transporting large quantities of goods in an efficient, safe and flexible manner. Your goods are transported straight from collection to the point of delivery without stops or reloading, reducing the risk of damage and loss. This direct route results in faster transit times compared to alternative methods such as LTL. With minimal handling, the likelihood of damage, theft or loss is significantly lowered. It is particularly cost-effective and practical for large shipments since the entire truck is allocated exclusively to your goods. This also enables more flexible collection and delivery times, tailored to your schedule.

Furthermore, as your goods are not transported together with other shipments, it is often possible to use more basic packaging, reducing both time and costs. With one vehicle assigned to your shipment, you gain better control and transparency across the transport process. Additionally, fewer stops and direct routes make FTL services more environmentally friendly by enabling more efficient fuel use.
