As a graduate in business studies, Ronny Sassen can look back on many years of experience in the logistics sector. He began his career at INNTRALOG GmbH in 2006. When Rhenus Home Delivery took over this company in 2012, he joined the Rhenus Group. He was appointed as the CEO of Rhenus Home Delivery in Germany four years later. Since that time, Rhenus Home Delivery has developed into the European market leader in supplying customers with its two-person handling concept. He had been fully responsible for the Rhenus Special Delivery division at Rhenus since 2020 and actively pressed ahead with the issues of sustainability, HR and technology. Ronny Sassen will now introduce this expertise in his new position at Rhenus Warehousing Solutions. “I’m particularly looking forward to working alongside colleagues at a global level. I’ll continue to focus on creating individual client solutions, cooperating across different divisions within the Rhenus Group and promoting young talented workers,” Sassen explains.

“The success stories, which Ronny Sassen has been able to achieve for the Rhenus Group, speak for themselves. He’s been able to double the turnover at Special Delivery within four years, for example. His development is also another example of how the Rhenus family promotes in-house talent,” says Dr Stephan Peters, a Member of the Rhenus Group’s Management Board, summarising the reasons for Mr Sassen’s appointment as the new CEO at Rhenus Warehousing Solutions.
