The CILT Awards recognise excellence across the logistics and transport sector, and celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations across the UK.
This year is the Award’s 30th anniversary, and saw a record number of entries be submitted across 11 categories. The finalists were selected by an expert judging panel from across the logistics and transport profession.
Rhenus Warehousing Solutions UK is a logistics specialist that provides sustainable warehousing, fulfilment and returns processing to multi-channel retailers and brands across a range of sectors. The company is currently setting new standards for sustainable logistics by building two brand-new, environmentally-friendly warehouses in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, on a site known as the ‘Rhenus Campus’.
The site measures one million square feet in total and is certified “BREEAM Outstanding”, meaning it will reach the highest level of eco-friendly warehousing and help customers achieve their own carbon zero goals.
On the Campus, Rhenus is championing sustainability and generating renewable energy via solar panels, utilising air source heat pumps and installing electric car charging points. Furthermore, to encourage biodiversity and enhance existing woodland, the team are planting between 700 and 900 native and orchard trees. Any felled trees are also being recycled into bat and bird boxes, hedgehog homes and habitat boards for local wildlife to call home and to ensure nothing goes to waste.

The CILT Awards for Excellence event will be held at The Londoner Hotel on 28 September 2023.
