Rhenus: The go-to inland waterway expert

Inland waterway ports serve as vital interfaces for regional and global flows of commodities in terms of transhipment, storage, and onward transportation – whether this involves raw materials or finished goods, containers, or bulk goods. Overseas, we can handle your products travelling on the water using our facilities, particularly our port terminals, and include our partners worldwide. We can also organize the necessary collection and final delivery that runs beyond the quayside.

Our services for different types of goods

Whether powdery, granular or lumpy mixture

Rhenus Myanmar and its inland waterway vessels support many by transporting a range of starting materials, and raw materials include agricultural products, building materials, aggregates, energy sources, ores, etc.

Bigger, heavier, farther

Certified feed transport

GMP+ certification has established itself as a high standard for the transportation of agricultural products. Our inland waterway fleet is equipped with the necessary certificates, making us a reliable logistics partner for the agriculture industry across global borders.

Professional transport of various types of waste

We take charge of the transportation of waste demands in compliance with all legal requirements. The Rhenus fleet of inland waterway vessels has ships that meet all the necessary European requirements to transport waste and other hazardous materials. These include materials such as waste wood, glass, contaminated soil and industrial slag in various volumes.

Service provider for inland waterway transport

A significant number of our bilge oil boats collect oil and greasy ship operating waste. Waste includes empty oil containers and oily cleaning rags from inland waterway vessels. Their primary task is the collection and professional disposal of bilge oil. Our ships can treat the bilge water while still transporting on the waterway. The separated waste oil is collected in our systems and fed into the economic cycle in processed form. We also supply goods and passenger shipping on all European waterways with marine diesel, lubricants, drinking water and other required products.
