Free Trade Warehousing Zones (FTWZs) are deemed foreign territories / ports / warehouses for storage and other value-added activities under the customs law. FTWZ units are allowed to hold inventory on behalf of foreign suppliers / domestic buyers. FTWZ law allows multiple transfers of ownership transactions without removal of the goods from the FTWZ, thus ensuring the trading chain to be as close as possible and as may be required, and ensuring that there is no cascade of indirect taxes / compliance, and avoids increases in transaction costs.
Our global service centre aims to help various European entities with Brexit requirements. The in-house team of experts helps manage import, export and transit customs declarations, end-to-end documentation and document filing services.
Rhenus India has the team and competence to handle the shipments of UK customers post Brexit. We cater to customs clearance of export and import shipments for several large multinational companies (MNCs) and Indian corporates at all major seaports and airports in India. In addition, we handle customs clearance for chemicals, lubricants, metals, engineering goods, food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, furniture, consumer goods and many more.
Our control tower model includes ‘bond sale’, ‘high seas sale’ and ‘merchandise through’, enabling tracking and coordinating customs clearance until the return of the empty containers to the liner with respective customs brokers and transporters. As per the World Trade Organization (WTO) guidelines, Exim transactions among multi-country enterprises (MNEs) are to be carried out through their local entities.
