These regulations stipulate how a battery needs to be packaged, labelled and documented.     Battery storage, especially for lithium-ion batteries, requires special safety measures. Batteries should be stored in places that are well ventilated, dry and cool in order to minimise the risk of overheating and fire. In addition, they should be stored separately from other hazardous materials, while large warehouses are required to have fire extinguishing systems and emergency plans.
