The corresponding results in the four assessment categories are at the top of the industry and were able to achieve significant improvements compared to the previous year: environment (80 points; 2021: 70), labour and human rights (70 points; 2021: 70), ethics (60 points, 2021: 50) and sustainable procurement (70 points; 2021: 60).
In the current assessment, the signing of the United Nations Global Compact, energy and environmental management certifications and reporting to the Carbon Disclosure Project were highlighted in particular and are an incentive for Rhenus to continuously develop its efforts in all the areas considered.
"In the Rhenus Group, we have set ourselves ambitious goals and launched extensive measures," said Karsten Obert, Board Member of the Rhenus Group. "The gold award from EcoVadis is confirmation for us that we are on the right track and that, through the contribution of our employees, we have made great strides in our strategy."
