Thanks to its proximity to the port, freeway and conurbations, our location not only offers an ideal logistical location, but also real prospects for the region and local people. We like being in Wesel and are involved in various local projects. This allows us to grow together.

Local commitment, global responsibility

Our commitment continues beyond the gates of our company. We not only create jobs in the region, but also actively contribute to the development of our city and the community: As a WeselPartner, we are committed to urban development. We also support traditional sporting events such as the Domspringen and the Weseler SportNacht, which not only keeps people fit here, but also keeps them together.

As a family business, social projects are close to our hearts. In cooperation with initiatives such as Lebenshilfe, we strengthen inclusion and support people with disabilities. This commitment enables us to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for all citizens in Wesel.

Our location at the Rhine-Lippe port means that we are closely connected to the city and its surroundings. Our investments in infrastructure and our focus on sustainability ensure that we remain a reliable partner for the region, not only today but also in the future. Our aim is to promote the long-term development of Wesel and at the same time fulfill our social and ecological responsibility.

At Rhenus in Wesel, we not only work for today, but also invest in the future - locally rooted and globally committed.

More sustainable on site

The Wesel logistics center sets standards for future Rhenus sites in terms of sustainability. Even during construction, care was taken to conserve resources and reduce the impact on the environment. The property meets all the criteria for BREEAM Excellence certification.

100 percent sustainable energy

The logistics center is powered entirely by energy from natural resources. On the roof is one of the largest photovoltaic systems in Europe (9 MW), which also powers the geothermal system for air conditioning. Thanks to battery storage, the site also remains self-sufficient at night.

Green eye-catcher for less CO2

The green façade in the entrance area of the logistics center is not only visually attractive. It actively contributes to climate protection. The plants absorb carbon dioxide. In this way, we are making a further contribution to sustainability and also creating a pleasant working environment.

Habitats for “busy bees & co.”

With an insect hotel, a habitat for lizards and 15 birdhouses, our logistics center provides a home for various animal species. 30,000 bees have found a home on our premises and their honey gives us great pleasure.

We promote sustainable mobility solutions

We have installed electric charging stations for cars and e-bikes so that our employees can get to work with fewer emissions. Some employees also use the option of a job bike
