Marcel Vogler has been Regional Manager South since summer 2023 and is responsible for the southern German locations in Dietzenbach, Kirchheim, Mannheim, Nuremberg and Pleidelsheim. He is responsible for the continuous optimization of processes and the implementation of new locations. In our new "3 questions to" section, he provides a brief insight into his tasks.

Editorial department: What are the strengths of the locations in southern Germany?

Mr. Vogler: Our southern locations have a strong focus and a high level of expertise in exports; this includes customs clearance, for example. We are also broadly positioned with regard to products from the chemical and textile industries, as well as white goods, pharmaceutical products and demanding temperature-controlled goods. We are currently expanding the area of transport-related storage in order to be able to realise even more individual solutions for our customers' supply chains.

Editorial department: What has changed for customers almost two months after the introduction of the new Groupage Network?

Mr. Vogler: The new Groupage Network allows us to offer our customers improved transit times with a high departure density and daily departures throughout Europe. We have further optimised and streamlined our processes so that we can offer our customers greater capacities thanks to more growth.

Editorial department: Give us an outlook: What would you like to achieve as Regional Management South?

Mr. Vogler: The standardisation of processes is an important point for me, as is increasing efficiency. For example, the acquisition of Mannheimer Transport Gesellschaft (MTG) will enable us to organise our products to and from Mannheim much more effectively, which will naturally benefit our customers. We also want to drive sustainability forward, from solar systems to sustainable solutions for our vehicle fleet.
