Shanghai to Surabaya

Rhenus Indonesia handled a charter vessel from Shanghai to Surabaya in collaboration with the Rhenus project team of China. Solid teamwork was displayed in the transition and process of undertaking the international and domestic transport for an energy company in Surabaya. We transported cargo, namely boilers and accessories, with the main unit being 13.5 metres x 3.7 metres x 4.5 metres (LxWxH). The total package amount to 18 with 980 cubic feet in volume. Rhenus Indonesia handled this project in 2020 and provided services such as international ocean freight, port handling, forwarding clearance in Jakarta port and customs clearance in Surabaya.

RDMP Project Heavy Lift Boiler

Three boilers were successfully discharged from the mother vessel and transported from Korea, each weighing 450 tonnes with dimensions of 20 metres x 16 metres x 15 metres high. Every move, every turn from the jetty to reaching its destination inside the refinery is being calculated carefully to ensure smooth and safe roll-off. In 2020, Rhenus Indonesia handled this project known as RDMP RU V Balikpapan project, transporting 2 HHP Boiler Modules from the PERTAMINA Jetty Balikpapan, offering services from onshore port handling, customs clearance to movement from the jetty to the site.

Handling of refinery equipment

Another successful mobilization in handling one of the longest refinery equipment of 111.04 metres x 7.18 metres x 7.93 metres (LxWxH) weighs around 802 tonnes starting from discharging, rolling off the equipment until it reaches its destination inside the refinery. There is no room for mistakes as we need to make sure each milestone is being calculated with precision to ensure safety and smooth handling. In 2020, Rhenus Indonesia handled this project known as RDMP RU V Balikpapan project, transporting Propylene Splitter C-063-06 from the PERTAMINA Jetty Balikpapan, offering services from onshore port handling, customs clearance to movement from the jetty to the site.

Centre of gravity

This video showcases how we deal with the centre of gravity when transporting very long cargo during the discharging of the vessel to the SPMT before transporting it to the final position on site. Originated from Korea, the Alkylation Reactor was 49.65 metres x 7.61 metres x 8.18 metres (LxWxH) and weighs 418.07 tonnes. In 2020, Rhenus Indonesia handled this project known as RDMP RU V Balikpapan project, transporting Alkylation Reactor from the PERTAMINA Jetty Balikpapan, offering services from onshore port handling, customs clearance to movement from the jetty to laydown area.

Jakarta to Surabaya: Jambaran Tiung Biru Project

A job well done in transporting oil and gas equipment from Southampton via Singapore and Jakarta port to the last destination in Surabaya. In 2020, Rhenus Indonesia handled the Jambaran Tiung Biru Project, transporting the Lean Rich Exchanger. The main unit being 12.1 metres x 2.7 metres x 2.5 metres ( LxWxH); weighing 97 tonnes and accessories being 2.1 metres x 1 metres x 1.5 metres (LxWxH); weighing 1.5 tonnes. Some services offered are ocean freight by RoRo vessel, port handling, forwarding clearance in Jakarta port and customs clearance in Surabaya port.

From Jakarta Tanjung Priok port to Nghi Son port

Charter vessel from Jakarta Tanjung Priok port to Nghi Son port Vietnam, great collaboration between Rhenus project team of Vietnam and Rhenus Indonesia to ensure smooth handling and secured transport from origin site until the customer’s final location. In 2018, Rhenus Indonesia handled this project known as Nghi Son BOT Thermal Plant - Vietnam, transporting RCCP pipe and tee reducer that is 6 metres x 5 metres x 6 metres (LxWxH) with a volume of 15000 cubic feet. Some services offered are from land transport to port, customs clearance, vessel arrangement to Nghi Son Port – Vina.
