Rhenus Conference is an annual event dedicated to warehousing solutions. In the 5th edition of the conference we will discuss about AI and its real impact on business and logistic industry.  We will also try to ansewr the question how we can take advantages of opportunities brought by technology. More to the point, we will have an open discussion on  what is worth investing  in the  logistic industry and what are the perspectives for the business growth in unstable market environment.

Author of many scientific publications and patents, member of international organizations dealing with the development of new standards and technologies, with particular emphasis on solutions in the field of the Internet of Things - IoT. Creator of a number of technical and organizational solutions for enterprises in the logistics and distribution sector, including large and very large organizations such as Poczta Polska, JMP, Leroy Merlin, Enea, etc. A graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Poznań University of Technology, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań and Executive MBA studies at the Poznań University of Economics and Nottingham Trent University in Great Britain.




Laurent Uhres

He leads a diverse team in crafting bespoke digital and AI roadmaps for clients at Webellian. He has over 25 years of experience in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, media, and IT. He is an accomplished author and music composer outside of the corporate world. "Creative Convergence," his recently published book, delves into the intricate tapestry of intersections between art, science, engineering, and design, arguing for their potential to spawn unprecedented innovations. He also writes contemporary classical music for dance and theatre, working with internationally renowned choreographers and dance companies.




Damian Kołata

Partner, Head of Industrial & Logistics / E-Commerce CEE

Manager with 20 years of experience, focusing on the cooperation of companies within individual links of the logistics supply chain. He was responsible for purchasing, demand forecasting and inventory management, distribution organization, as well as e-commerce operations for the largest European fashion platform in warehouses with an area of ​​over a hundred football pitches, where employment exceeded the number of inhabitants of Szklarska Poręba. He developed logistics and e-commerce for ThyssenKrupp, TZMO S.A. and FIEGE. Former member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, academic lecturer at UE in Poznań and WSB in Toruń, member of the board of the E-Commerce Logistics Expert Association. Co-author of the publications "E-business Bible 3.0" and "Profitable E-Commerce". He is passionate about logistics in the area of ​​E-Commerce and its impact on the increasing requirements for warehouse space.





Pawel Jarza

Pawel has been in the logistics industry for almost 20 years now. His main area of expertise has always been customs, both as a practitioner but also as an advisor. During his professional career Pawel also represented the industry before national authorities in the UK but also in the EU and actively worked and liaised with HMRC and other UK government department in preparation for Brexit.  Pawel graduated from the University of Wroclaw, Department of Law, Administration and Economics. He wrote his Master’s Thesis on international trade and commercial arbitration, focusing on the main aspects of international jurisdiction. He also holds a master’s degree in classics which is his private hobby. 




Piotr Skobało

Chief Operations Officer

Manager with 20 years of practical experience in logistics, supply chain management and after-sales customer service, including: in the production, trade, e-commerce and logistics services industries. For over 10 years, he has been personally responsible for the entire Supply Chain function, from strategy development to its effective execution, in organizations with multi-billion revenues. He managed budgets of several hundred million, conducting development and optimization projects that had a real impact on the EBITDA result. A follower of Six Sigma. MBA graduate from Franklin University. Partner of Tompkins Ventures in Poland, an international network of Supply Chain experts. Lecturer in MBA studies at the WSB University in Wrocław.



Marta Raczkowska

BI & Business Consulting Director

She is an expert in Business Process Mining and business process improvement and a  head of the MBA program dedicated to process automation at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business. A propagator of the data-driven approach, in particular the use of data to increase the productivity and efficiency of organizations. A practitioner in the field of process optimization and automation, with many successes in this field. She gained her experience in the telecommunications and logistics industry, creating strategies and roadmaps in the BI area for the needs of effective organization management. Currently, he is focusing on implementing projects within broadly understood Business Process Mining solutions.




Tomasz Boruta

For 16 years he has been associated with sales, realization and implementation of integrated logistics processes in distribution centers and production plants of the largest industry leaders throughout Europe. Responsible for creating conceptual solutions, case analysis, and selecting the appropriate strategy for the development of intralogistics processes. He gained experience in the retail and automotive industries, where modern technologies combined with innovative concepts strive to optimize processes. Currently, he is developing projects in the e-commerce, retail and FMCG industries, in which the greatest role is played by innovative and highly automated transport and storage systems, where the idea of ​​"industry 4.0" is the key. From 2022, President of the Management Board of Gebhardt Polska, awarded with the Forbes Diamonds 2023 award.

Roy has worked in the Logistics industry for over 30 years. Initially focusing on warehousing and distribution in operational and project management roles in the FMCG sector, with an emphasis on automating processes and implementing technology. He managed UK project delivery for a leading materials handling and automated systems provider, implementing automated storage, packing and conveyorized solutions. Roy entered the supply chain software industry by joining BlueYonder, where he has held management positions in project delivery and consulting, and as account manager across the Retail, Manufacturing, and Logistics sectors. He now heads up Industry Strategy for the Logistics sector across EMEA. A graduate of Electronic Engineering from Kings College London, and a masters degree in Distribution & Logistics from Cranfield School of Management.
