Our junior professional programme offers you the perfect career entry into the world of freight forwarding. Here you can draw on all the experience and skills you have already gained in this exciting logistics sector. Ideally, you will combine a specialised commercial apprenticeship with further training as a transport specialist or hold a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Logistics. As a junior professional, you will get to know the locations of Rhenus Freight Logistics throughout Germany during 6-month project assignments and will be extensively prepared for your first entry-level position. Now it’s time to gather impressions, contribute ideas and build a strong network. Always at your side: An experienced mentor and the management. You can look forward to orientation and room to manoeuvre in equal measure.
Upon successful completion of the programme, all paths and doors in freight forwarding logistics will be open to you as a junior professional: From the “Project Management” development path to the “Leadership” development path – entirely according to your individual strengths and personal wishes.
In an operational management position – e.g. as Head of Customer Service – you will steer and develop your team with entrepreneurial vision. You will implement and optimise internal team processes and also coordinate cross-departmental workflows with precision. With a trained eye for detail, you will assess key quality indicators and confidently initiate all necessary measures. In this role, you will use statistics, service evaluations, reporting and forecasts to ensure the long-term and sustainable satisfaction of our customers.
If your career path takes you in the direction of project management, one of your tasks will be to put our logistics processes to the test. You will skilfully identify optimisation potential and provide conclusive recommendations for action. In order to continuously improve our supply chain, you will plan, manage and implement numerous (sub-)projects. As the technical contact person, you will be responsible for all project phases, monitor the achievement of milestones and deliver complete status reports. In doing so, you routinely use the tools and methods from the exciting field of logistics project management that are optimally suited to the respective project.
Do you like to plan far ahead and get involved at the highest level? Then you are in the right place in the area of strategic assistance. You will support the management in operational business as well as in strategic issues, project-related or in relation to our general development. Among other things, this involves the development and introduction of new products or reaching our target groups. Your agenda will therefore include strategic decision-making as well as clearly structured analyses and presentations.
