As Manager Solutions Design & implementation you work within the Business Development team where you have direct responsibility of the Solutions Design and Strategic Engineering teams and indirect responsibility for customer implementations. You will report to the Director Business Development.
You operate in a highly volatile environment, and you have the responsibility for the design and development of the best logistics solutions for our future customers. To be able to do so, you and your team will work closely with your colleagues of Business Development and other departments to arrive at the best possible solution.
Your tasks include:
Responsible for delivering the most optimal and correct solution designs for future customers;
Responsible for customer implementations and ensure that the solution offered is correctly implemented;
Ensure that the logistics design offered does contain the latest innovative solutions available;
Manage your team of Solutions Design Engineers and Strategic Engineering Manager (with direct reports);
Act as first point of contact for the BD Director and/or other members of the Rhenus management team;
Identifying, designing and improving logistics processes;
Communication with customers to understand their supply chain requirements;
Designing and presenting warehouse processes and working out costs;
Participating in meetings/calls with customers to discuss possible solutions;
Providing an overview of (mechanical) solutions used as a proposal towards the customer;
Closely following market developments in automation and robotization to apply in our solutions.

What you bring
What do we ask?
It is required for this position to be currently living and working in the Netherlands;
BSc or MSc (HBO/WO) working and thinking level, towards business administration/logistics;
At least 5 years' experience in a similar role;
Negotiating skills and strong communication skills;
Good oral and written expression skills in Dutch and English;
Knowledge and experience of complex logistics systems and concepts;
Has knowledge of relevant developments in the field of logistics;
Can communicate convincingly with a commercial mind-set.
Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Netherlands currently consists of six locations. All locations are located in the Tilburg-Eindhoven area. Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Netherlands offers a wide variety of logistics services such as warehousing, order picking, but also value added services and managed services such as customer services, import and export documentation, sales support. In this way, Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Nederland is able to completely take care of customer needs.
