Job Description

What you can expect

  • Oversees the entire Ocean Operations team in Jakarta
  • Ensure proper closing of monthly financial figures
  • Ensure that approved cost effective vendors are used to maintain profitability
  • Ensure the daily operations up-to-date and all inquiry answered within same day or within 24 hours
  • Follow-up on routine order / nomination shipment from overseas branch offices or appointed agents
  • Provide management market data such as potential customer, its traffic matrix, sector and competition to enable management to formulate effective sales strategy
  • Collaborate with sales to gain new business and retain the existing business with highest profitability
  • Develop related business potential with overseas branch offices or appointed agents
  • Monitors achieved KPI levels and takes proactive action to maintain and improve achieved KPI levels
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints & maintain good rapport to fulfil their requirements
  • Collaborate with product teams for competitive freight rates, space allocation with liners, and trucking operator with service levels in mind
  • Fulfil the FCL and LCL core carrier adherence
  • Ensure preparation and processing of all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (work orders, departure, arrival, customs clearance, etc.) as specified by Standard Operating Procedures
  • Oversee accurate completion of billing based on the pricing established/quotation and sent out timely, while ensuring the accurate costs and profits are maintained
  • Monitor that all job files are closed as per time table and to signed off completed job files
  • To make sure accrual done correctly for end month closing and signed off accrual report
  • Keep track of Shipment Data Quality Report
  • Keep track of Mandatory Status Report and to rectify the error before monthly result is generated
  • Hire and monitor the performance and achievements of team members
  • Check monthly Cloud Ocean Line Report to reflect the correct Invoice for costing

What you bring

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or higher, logistics or any related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in mid level Management within Ocean Freight
  • DG training certificate
  • Experience with globally implemented TMS.
  • Computer literate.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Good knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics service
  • Able to operate under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill and a team player.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently.
  • “Can-do” mentality, empathic and positive attitude
