Job Description
What you can expect
- Oversees the entire Ocean Operations team in Jakarta
- Ensure proper closing of monthly financial figures
- Ensure that approved cost effective vendors are used to maintain profitability
- Ensure the daily operations up-to-date and all inquiry answered within same day or within 24 hours
- Follow-up on routine order / nomination shipment from overseas branch offices or appointed agents
- Provide management market data such as potential customer, its traffic matrix, sector and competition to enable management to formulate effective sales strategy
- Collaborate with sales to gain new business and retain the existing business with highest profitability
- Develop related business potential with overseas branch offices or appointed agents
- Monitors achieved KPI levels and takes proactive action to maintain and improve achieved KPI levels
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints & maintain good rapport to fulfil their requirements
- Collaborate with product teams for competitive freight rates, space allocation with liners, and trucking operator with service levels in mind
- Fulfil the FCL and LCL core carrier adherence
- Ensure preparation and processing of all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (work orders, departure, arrival, customs clearance, etc.) as specified by Standard Operating Procedures
- Oversee accurate completion of billing based on the pricing established/quotation and sent out timely, while ensuring the accurate costs and profits are maintained
- Monitor that all job files are closed as per time table and to signed off completed job files
- To make sure accrual done correctly for end month closing and signed off accrual report
- Keep track of Shipment Data Quality Report
- Keep track of Mandatory Status Report and to rectify the error before monthly result is generated
- Hire and monitor the performance and achievements of team members
- Check monthly Cloud Ocean Line Report to reflect the correct Invoice for costing
What you bring
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or higher, logistics or any related fields.
- Minimum 5 years experience in mid level Management within Ocean Freight
- DG training certificate
- Experience with globally implemented TMS.
- Computer literate.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Good knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics service
- Able to operate under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skill and a team player.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently.
