Your Impact

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement a long-term sustainability strategy focused on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable packaging.

  • Produce regular reports on sustainability KPIs and ensure that our operations align with long-term environmental goals.

  • Advise management on sustainability and its strategic implications.

  • Promote education and awareness among employees, fostering a sustainable culture within the organization.

  • Implement change processes and seek innovative solutions, materials, or methods to enhance our sustainability performance.

  • Proactively prepare the organization for new ESG legislation, ensuring compliance with future requirements, and conducting audits.

  • Manage the budget for sustainability projects and ensure effective resource allocation.

  • Organize initiatives that enhance the organization’s social responsibility.

  • Engage in client meetings.

In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager of Quality, Compliance & Sustainability and work with a range of stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, industry organizations, and colleagues. We are seeking a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently.

What you bring

You are genuinely passionate about sustainability and have a proven ability to translate ambitious goals into concrete actions. With a blend of strategic vision and a practical mindset, you confidently collaborate with stakeholders at every level of the organization. Curious and self-driven, you challenge conventional approaches to continuously improve and innovate.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s level thinking and working capacity, ideally with a background in corporate sustainability.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a logistics environment.

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, independent, stress-resilient, and capable of communicating and persuading at various levels.

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Selection Process

Depending on the position, there are various ways of finding out if we are a good match for each other. In most cases, we rely on a personal interview, on a eye level of course. Online tests, assessment centres or work on a trial basis may also be possible. In the end, the best decision is taken for both sides.
