Your apprenticeship in the logistics world

of Rhenus

Do you fancy a varied (new) start in the world of logistics? Our apprenticeships are just right for all those who prefer to think along clear lines, but also like to leave the desk behind them from time to time. Be active, stay curious, get involved in operations, meet new people – all this is part of the process when you enter your dream job in logistics. Whether you start with us in warehouse logistics, port logistics or as a professional driver, you should not expect too much routine. Instead, there will be exciting specialist knowledge in the classroom and a lot of “learning on the job”. Honest feedback is likewise a matter of course with us; we support you in preparing for your exams and are always reliably at your side.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE APPRENTICESHIP?

Opportunities for professional drivers

After graduation, the driver’s cab is yours – you drive our trucks and are highly trained in loading, unloading and securing goods. With know-how and foresight, you plan tours and ensure quick delivery to satisfied customers. For new horizons, you can pursue further training in some business fields: state-certified technician, certified specialist, master in road transport. This is the best basis for taking on a specialist or management role in logistics later on.

Opportunities in port logistics

As a specialist in port logistics, you can hit the ground running. You check loads, coordinate storage or ensure onward transport. You are very familiar with freight documents and the associated calculations. Great ideas and a high degree of reliability are in demand, so there are always new opportunities for more responsibility. With further training to become a certified logistics foreman, you can take goods handling into your own hands: from receiving to shipping the goods.

Opportunities in warehouse logistics

After your apprenticeship as a warehouse logistics specialist, you can get stuck in at Rhenus and put what you have learned into practice. We are happy if you are committed and also have suggestions for improvement. This way, nothing stands in the way of you taking on more responsibility. Some of our units offer you the opportunity to train as a certified logistics systems specialist. Alternatively, you can also train to become a trainer.
