The program in short

At our automotive locations, we offer complex logistics and assembly services for all well-known automobile manufacturers. Our claim is also our goal: Faultless line supply – that’s what we stand for. This is exactly where you come in as a trainee in the automotive sector, because as part of this programme you will accompany the relevant (customer) projects from the very beginning and can quickly take on responsibility. In addition to the general transfer of valuable specialist knowledge, we will train you in greater depth in one of these specialist areas according to your skills and interests: Quality management, project management, performance management , logistics planning.

These could be your trainee stations

Location: Sindelfingen

Project 1: Deployment at the branch

Processing of logistics tenders for new and existing projects.
Process planning, implementation, and optimization as well as process relocations and redesigns.
Responsibility for the continuous improvement process at the customer.
Tasks in the area of work safety and quality management, such as the implementation of the 5S methodology.

Location: Heilbronn

Project 2: Automotive Competence Center

Processing of logistics tenders for new and existing projects.
Realization of project planning and calculations.
Preparation of offers and presentations as well as negotiations with customers.
Start-up planning and support in project start-up.

The trainee program can either be divided equally between two different Automotive locations to gain a comprehensive insight into two of our subsidiaries. Alternatively, the trainee program can also be completed at a fixed location with a temporary project assignment at another location.

The young average age of the team and the fact that many colleagues also came to Rhenus Automotive via the trainee programme surprised me very positively.

Leadership positions

As a project manager, you will plan, design, support and manage a wide range of processes and projects – thanks to you, every project will be successfully completed.
If you would prefer to accelerate your career as an operational manager with personnel responsibility, you can join us as a logistics team leader.
Or you can set your personal satnav to the area of branch management – initially as a deputy, later with budget responsibility.

Specialist positions

Quality always comes first for you? Perfect, in automotive quality management, you act as a sovereign planner and consultant for our branches.
You will design the respective process landscape, manage systems for document distribution and contribute your expertise in the course of audits.
In the role of process engineer, the skills you have acquired in the trainee programme will also be put to full use.
You will process tenders received from customers, prepare project costings and submit offers – thus you will handle every process related to tender management.

Commercial positions

Do you prefer to think in terms of figures and like to make sure that the bottom line is as it should be?
Then business administration at our (inter)national automotive locations should be the perfect connection point for you.
