Controlling, consulting, projects - the world of finance at Rhenus has many different aspects that we will introduce you to from A to Z in this trainee programme. In 24 months you will learn everything about complex topics such as budget planning, monthly and annual financial statements or mergers and acquisitions. We will show you how - in the truest sense of the word - profitable a career in logistics can be.

Your wealth of experience will grow almost without limits, as the support of our foreign units in all financial matters is also on the agenda - including on-site assignments. Controlling in the business unit

Collaboration on monthly and annual financial statements.
Preparation of various statistics and reports as well as processing of ad-hoc analyses at product, branch and customer level.
Accompanying the budget planning process and supporting sales controlling.

Location: Assets & Services Holzwickede | 3 months

Internationale Corporate Finance

Supporting the international holding with balance sheet analyses and dividend policy.
Preparation of the annual financial statements and participation in the year-end discussions with various companies at national and international level.
Contributing to the development of financial and tax strategies.

Location: Air & Ocean| Barcelona | 6 months

Shared Service Centre abroad

Carrying out commercial tasks in a shared service organisation abroad.
Support in various optimisation processes with the aim of cost savings.
Supporting the SAP implementation of different modules incl. training of colleagues.

Location: Port Logistics | Nordenham | 6 months

Financial accounting

Support in day-to-day business with daily booking actions as well as with the general annual financial statement.
Carrying out ad-hoc analyses for the investment planning of the management and for the identification of savings potential.
Preparation of company evaluations for possible acquisitions as well as harmonisation of commercial processes of acquired companies.

Corporate Controlling

Getting to know the financial structures of a large group of companies.
Preparation of quarterly reports and investment templates.
Active participation in forecasts, budget planning and medium-term planning as well as agreements with regional controllers.

Former Trainee Finance & Controlling "Step forward!"

Business Controller

As a Business Controller, you will prepare business analyses for our site managers, the management and the Head of Accounting & Controlling.
You are equally experienced in helping our locations with commercial questions, always keeping an eye on the group guidelines.
With you, we can handle any number-based project and constantly raise our systems and workflows to a new level.

Assistance function

You can also support our management level as a finance trainee, as an assistant to the CFO or Managing Director.
In this position, which is both demanding and responsible, you will work closely with your managers and contribute your know-how in a wide range of topics.
This also includes preparing, documenting and following up on meetings in which the course is set for the Finance and Controlling sector.
