Job Description

What you can expect

  • Collaborate with global key account teams to design and deliver tailored air‑freight logistics solutions

  • Coordinate with central pricing teams to create synergies between existing and potential business

  • Prepare fast, complete, and standardized spot quotations, including all relevant cost components

  • Respond to ad‑hoc customer requests with accurate and competitive offers

  • Maintain close communication with Rhenus origin and destination offices

  • Oversee full execution of awarded shipments to ensure on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction

  • Work confidently with quoting platforms such as Transporeon, Easy4Pro, B4NL, and Freightender

  • Monitor and follow up on all spot quotes, track conversion success, and maintain data accuracy

  • Coordinate and respond to client‑specific inquiries in line with account expectations

  • Ensure compliance with Rhenus SOPs and alignment with local station procedures

  • Build and maintain a detailed database of country‑specific shipping requirements

Internal Collaboration

  • Daily interaction with Global Key Account Management

  • Close coordination with Central Pricing and Local Operations teams

  • Interface with Customer Solutions and Regional Control Tower teams

  • Regular communication with Rhenus branches at origin and destination

Carrier Coordination & Escalation

  • Liaise with global and regional carriers for pricing and service alignment

  • Ensure spot availability and escalate issues when needed

  • Monitor and resolve irregularities such as schedule changes or service disruptions

  • KPI & Data Management

  • Support accurate tracking of spot quotation success rates

  • Maintain high data quality and ensure timely updates in internal tools and TMS

  • Align with KPI frameworks for response time, quote accuracy, and booking follow‑up

  • Ensure accurate CRM data, shipment details, and DG information (if applicable)
     

Documentation Management

  • Ensure timely collection and completion of customer‑specific documentation

  • Maintain proper records of quotations, awards, and shipment execution timelines

  • Align documentation processes with global key account requirements

What you bring

  • Strong understanding of international freight forwarding, especially air freight
  • Customer‑focused, proactive, and detail‑oriented
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across regions
  • Comfortable with digital tools and pricing platforms
  • Team‑oriented and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of air freight experience (pricing or operations preferred)
  • Familiarity with market rates, procurement, and airline service levels
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong asset
