Job Description
What you can expect
- Lead and manage the European Cargo Insurance business segment, including strategy development and execution
- Drive profitable growth across multiple European markets and distribution channels
- Oversee underwriting standards, pricing strategies and risk selection processes
- Manage and develop relationships with key brokers, clients, and partners across Europe
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, products, and market segments
- Design and deliver internal trainings for stakeholders involved in insurance-related activities to enhance knowledge and compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and international insurance regulations as well as internal policies
- Collaborate with global teams to align regional strategy with overall corporate objectives
- Prepare and present regular performance and strategy reports to senior leadership
What you bring
- University degree or specialized insurance certification
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in cargo insurance, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the European transport and cargo insurance market
- Experience with regulatory frameworks within Europe
- Strong network within the European insurance and broker community
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are a plus
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Proficiency in IT tools (particularly Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel
