What you bring
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control
- Create, implement, and maintain quality control processes for assembly operations in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits of assembly line to ensure compliance with specifications and standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, including scrap rates, defect rates, and customer complaints.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using appropriate methodologies.
- Support new product launches and engineering changes with quality planning (APQP) and validation activities.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain quality documentation including control plans, FMEA, PPAP submissions, and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Provide training and guidance to assembly personnel on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering within automotive assembly or manufacturing.
- Proficiency with Quality Management Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Strong knowledge of Core Quality Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Knowledge of VDA 6.5 for product audits and VDA 6.3 for (internal) process audits.
- Familiarity in statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
- Experience with supplier quality management and audits.
- Familiarity with automotive assembly processes and equipment.
