To support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards across the business.
The SHEQ Co-Ordinator ensures compliance with legal and company requirements, promotes a positive safety culture, and drives initiatives that enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and
procedures.
Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments across depots and transport
routes.
Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective
actions.
Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to drivers and operational staff.
Maintain accident and incident records and report to relevant authorities as required.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, BRCGS).
Control and maintain the company’s Training matrix.
Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits and accreditations.
Monitor and report on KPIs related to SHEQ performance.
Prepare and present reports to senior management.
Monthly meetings with the UK Head of Compliance
Travel to other Rhenus UK Facilities will be required
Maintain documentation and records to be always audit ready
What you bring
Skills & Experience Required:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (preferred)
Experience in a transport, logistics, or fleet environment (preferred)
Knowledge of UK SHEQ legislation and standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and engage staff at all levels
Able to work independently or as part of a Team
Proficient in Microsoft Office systems
