Job Description

What you can expect

  • Collaborate closely withcustomers, and internal stakeholders, including Key Account Managers and Tender Management and Product Managers to gather and analyze customer requirements.  

  • Conduct feasibility checks of customer requirements and collaborate closely with Operational Excellence (OET) and Operational Key Account Managers(OKAMs) to translate customer requirements into operational specifications and processes.  

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end implementation project by defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and coordinating stakeholders.  

  • Execute the customer onboarding process by performing operational tasks, coordinating directly with customers and teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work packages, and smooth integration. 

  • Lead the end-to-end customer onboarding process and ensure smooth operational integration. 

  • Ensure all onboarding projects follow the Customer Implementation & Integration Standardization Framework. 

  • Develop and maintain essential documentation during customer implementation, including Implementation Project Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs), process flowcharts, and performance management reports. 

  • Capture and communicate technical requirements to Integration Solutions Managers, ensuring these are formally handed over and prioritized for timely execution of technical integration activities. 

  • Collect and compile the data of the contact, company name and address of the Rhenus’s internal stakeholders, customer, and customer’s partners (Shipper/Consignee/Warehouse). 

  • Align with Master Data Management and ensure the creation of the required data (company name and address details) of the customer and customer’s partners (shippers/consignees/warehouses) in TMS systems. 

  • Analyze and define customer reporting requirements, assess feasibility, and coordinate with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to develop and deliver necessary reports, aligning closely with customer expectations. 

  • Establish and set-up the hybrid customer reporting in Excel if the BI reporting itself is not feasible 

  • Establish and maintain a reporting framework, ensuring its effective rollout and training to Operational Key Account Managers (OKAMs). 

  • Schedule and lead regular update meetings with customers, internal stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment, communicate project status, and address any issues or changes in scope. 

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders during the onboarding process. 

  • Facilitate the onboarding of OKAMs during the implementation process and maintain close alignment with them to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable embedding of the customer into the organization post-implementation. 

  • Conduct training and roll out Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) to handling branches and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to customers. 

  • Proactively identify and recommend enhancements to streamline customer implementation processes, contributing to standardization efforts and continuous process optimization initiatives. 

  • Actively contribute to the ongoing development, documentation, and enhancement of the global implementation framework and standardization initiatives. 

  • Ensure thorough understanding of our customer portfolio, including track and trace, integration capabilities, performance dashboards and other services, to effectively embed customers into these solutions. Stay informed on product features and updates, and actively share relevant insights with the sales organization and account owners. 

  • Identifythe risks early and proactively implement mitigation plans throughout the customer onboarding journey. 

  • Provide the resolution and corrective action planfor the issues by collaborating with all respective stakeholders externally and internally and ensure learnings are captured for future use. 

  • Take the lead in resolving implementation challenges with confidence and diplomacy.

  • Degree or completed studies in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • Min 5+ years of relevant experience in customer implementation, project management, or operational excellence, with a proven track record in Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or Control Tower environments handling complex operational and commercial challenges. 

  • Strong background and understanding of operational processes and supply chain management. 

  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS). 

  • Basic understanding of IT system integrations and software solutions is a plus.  

  • Ambitious, self-driven, and highly motivated, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail. 

  • Strong project management, analytical, and conceptual skills. 

  • Confident in decision-making, comfortable balancing risk and speed up while owning the outcomes 

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-accountability environments, with ownership, urgency, and initiatives 

  • Advanced reporting skills in Microsoft Office Application (e.g. advanced Excel), preferably also BI tools 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal and external business partners/customers. 

  • Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
