Job Description
What you can expect
As the Division CFO, you are responsible for Planning, Reporting & Forecasting, Sales, and Business Controlling, Business Intelligence and M&A assistance to drive sustainable growth and profitability. You collaborate closely with leadership to optimize capital allocation, streamline financial processes, and maintain robust financial controls. You also provide strategic guidance to support global expansions and navigate complex financial landscapes, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulatory standards.

Strategic Leadership
- Create financial strategies together with the global corporate level, ensuring the strategies are aligned with long-term company business goals and orchestrating the transition of the finance organization towards a more cost-effective, shared service-based model.
- Drive the successful execution of financial planning in collaboration with the Group Finance functions, the regional management and corporate functions team.
- Foster a culture of openness, collaboration, and consensus both within the geographical area and across the matrix organization.
- Be accountable for M&A activities with regards to financial due diligence together with the Group M&A team and post-merger integration from a Finance & Accounting point of view.
Global Financial Planning and Strategies
- Be responsible for meaningful, correct, timely and commentary and associated monthly finance reporting to the global CEO, Rhenus Group Board of Directors, Rhenus shareholders and Air and Ocean Finance and Controlling on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis with correspondingly varying scope of content.
- Be responsible got the budgeting process and rolling forecast, driving the development and implement of a comprehensive system-driven rolling forecast for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
- Be responsible for analysing business models of decentralized units with regard to quantity structures and related cost and revenue drivers, deriving and following up on measures to optimize results.
- Successful implementation of the global finance system, with proven expertise in SAP implementation across all levels of finance organization.
- Design finance processes and structure that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Be responsible for the Business Intelligence Teams. Drive the data-based decision making and reduce the manual processes while maintaining the high levels of accuracy for financial planning and reporting across the organization in all regional and in all corporate functions.
- Develop and documents financial standards and processes, ensuring their effective rollout across the organization.
- Work closely with global products, sales and other corporate functions to work towards the jointly agreed financial and volume budgets.
- Acts as Business Partner for the Organization within the Division and monitor functional guidance for stakeholders for the relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor performance against budgets on regular basis and provide the financial guidance for stakeholders for the relevant stakeholders.
- Be responsible for the division-wide allocation of function costs from the holding companies to the individual legal entities, including transfer pricing documentation.
Management of Other Teams
- Be responsible for the divisional Compliance and Legal Department. Hold legal accountability for business activities and to resolve any legal issues in the regions.
- Oversee all health, safety, data security, and compliance regulations in cooperation with regional and management.
- Be responsible for Data Management and Business Intelligence Department, ensuring the data alignment and transparency across the organization in all levels.
- The CFO A&O is part of the Division Finance Steering Board (DFSB) and the Global Finance Steering Board.
What you bring
- Senior Finance Management Experience: Over 10 years of proven success in senior finance management positions within multinational companies, preferably in roles such as CFO or similar high-level leadership roles across diverse countries or regions. This experience should demonstrate the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and diverse cultural environments.
- Experience in setting up processes and guidelines
- Has gained experience in optimizing processes with the support of AI
