Job Description
What you can expect
Operational Process & Digital Enhancement
- Support the Digital Process Innovation Manager in the implementation of digital strategies and continuous operational improvement across designated domains.
- Act as a domain-specific owner for global processes, application functionality, and associated operational data.
- Provide input to Master Data Management regarding domain-relevant operational data (excluding corporate or cross-domain data).
- Co-lead or lead process and system enhancement initiatives aimed at optimizing performance and efficiency.
- Develop, document, and maintain global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive process standardization, compliance, and scalability.
- Identify and advocate for application capabilities that meet evolving business requirements and promote operational efficiency.
- Define and track operational performance metrics that support service excellence and enhance the customer experience.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate business needs into digital solutions and process improvements.
- Work with the Operational Excellence team to gather and incorporate regional or country-specific requirements into system design and implementation.
- Partner with Master Data and IT teams to ensure accurate, consistent data integration across relevant applications and processes.
- Identify the source systems and define domain-specific data objects critical to operational workflows.
- Capture and align business and customer requirements through structured engagement with key stakeholders.
Project & System Management
- Assist in managing enhancement projects, including the creation, tracking, and delivery of Jira tickets and related development efforts.
- Collaborate with IT project managers and developers to prioritize and guide system module enhancements aligned with domain needs.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Operational Excellence or at least 5 years in operational and managerial roles within air and ocean freight forwarding, with a strong focus on quality and process improvement.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance commercial/customer needs and internal operational efficiency.
- Effective at building alignment and influencing stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Capable of managing multiple initiatives concurrently while contributing to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- High level of accountability and a results-oriented mindset.
- Experience working in regional or international settings, with the ability to collaborate across diverse cultural and functional backgrounds.
- Resilient under pressure, with the confidence to step into leadership when necessary.
- Professional proficiency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
