What you can expect
Are you an expert in environmental legislation with strong communication skills to effectively engage with regulators and external stakeholders? Do you have experience in applying for, managing and ensuring compliance with environmental permits? Become our Arbo en Milieu Adviseur!
What will you do?
Act as the primary point of contact for government agencies, regulators and other stakeholders regarding environmental and permitting matters.
Apply for, manage and monitor environmental permits, ensuring compliance with all associated conditions.
Prepare for and participate in inspections by regulatory bodies, ensuring that all required documentation and responses are in order.
Provide advice on regulatory compliance and prepare reports for both regulators and internal stakeholders.
Proactively report to management on the status of permits and compliance, advising on potential risks.
Develop and implement procedures and measures to ensure compliance with environmental permit requirements.
Monitor developments in legislation and translate changes into organizational practices to keep permits up to date.
Coordinate communication with external parties such as the Environmental Services, municipalities, and other regulatory authorities.
You are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of translating complex legal requirements into practical, actionable solutions for the organization.
You have a strong, solution-oriented mindset and can effectively navigate changing laws and regulations.

What you bring
Knowledge
Sound understanding and application of relevant laws and regulations such as the Environmental Management Act (Wet milieubeheer), Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet), EU directives and local legislation.
Permit management: Experience in applying for, managing and auditing environmental permits, ensuring compliance and responding to regulatory changes.
Compliance monitoring: Overseeing compliance with environmental and permit obligations within the organization and reporting to regulatory authorities.
Competencies
Interpersonal skills: As an HSE Advisor, you coach and guide both management and staff as part of your role.
Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to convey safety instructions and environmental advice to both employees and managers. You should be comfortable delivering training sessions and drafting clear reports for various audiences.
Analytical skills: You pay attention to detail and are capable of thoroughly analyzing complex regulatory and safety requirements.
Problem-solving ability: You are a good listener, able to identify issues, and proactively make decisions to improve organizational conditions.

Recruitment Process
