What you can expect
Due to the retirement of our current manager, we are looking for an experienced and driven professional to join our team.

As Operational Transport Team Leader, you'll be the linchpin of our daily operations. You'll maintain an overview, guide a team of planners, drivers, administrative staff, and mechanics, and make adjustments where necessary.
You'll be responsible for achieving operational objectives and actively contribute to process improvements. You'll also spend approximately 30% of your time supporting planning, allowing you to stay connected to the practical side of things and adapt quickly.
You know how to inspire people, create a positive working atmosphere and ensure that everyone knows where they stand.
You will be given the opportunity to contribute ideas for improvements and have a direct impact on day-to-day operations.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Leading a dynamic team: You'll manage a team of 9 FTEs , including planners, administrative staff, and maintenance technicians , both in the office and the garage . You'll provide the right coaching and guidance to ensure everyone performs optimally.
- Management of external partners: You are in charge of the collaboration with external partners for administrative processing.
- Operational support: You provide operational support to the planning team, ensure a smooth workflow, and actively contribute to process improvement.
- HR tasks: You conduct evaluation and assessment interviews and take on various HR tasks (including linking with our social secretariat), while closely monitoring the development of your team.
- KPI monitoring and adjustment: You closely monitor the set KPIs . You are also responsible for approving various invoices.
- Responsibility in the absence of the Managing Director: You replace the MD in his absence and ensure continuity within the organization.
What you bring
- A completed bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Logistics or similar or demonstrable experience in a similar position.
- At least 10 years of work experience in the logistics sector, preferably in an operational position.
- You have a sociable and practical nature and know how to tackle things.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and a good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written.
- Technical affinity or knowledge is an advantage, so that you can quickly switch with the technical team and understand processes.
