Job Description
What you can expect
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily air freight operations to ensure efficient and timely handling of shipments.
- Guarantee accurate preparation, filing, and maintenance of all operational documentation.
- Supervise month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reconciliation.
2. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients to uphold high service standards.
- Collaborate with the Regional Product Team to ensure local execution aligns with global product strategy.
- Proactively report operational issues to senior management and propose corrective actions.
3. Performance & Process Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the air freight team to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate performance through established KPIs, ensuring alignment with service level targets.
- Drive productivity improvements and foster a culture of accountability and performance.
- Investigate negative file cases, identify discrepancies, and escalate critical issues for resolution.
4. Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) documentation across branches.
- Maintain compliance with internal financial procedures and external regulations, such as IATA CASS standards.
5. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational objectives.
What you bring
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align operations with commercial objectives.
- Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills in dealing with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
- Established network and working relationships with airlines and airport terminal operators.
- Fluent in both English and Vietnamese, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and excellent team leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
