Job Description

What you can expect

  • Manage the lifecycle of applications within the WMS area
  • Installation/Patching/Upgrading of Blue Yonder WMS according to internal standards and guidelines
  • Constantly checking of system status to ensure availability and health of the application
  • Investigate and solve problem reports (technical support-tickets)
    • Monitor application performance
    • Exchange with key-users of Blue Yonder WMS application at Rhenus to:
    • solve critical situations within monitored status
    • plan maintenance
    • exchange on testing and test-results for software-update
  • Exchange with Group IT for hardware and special services support

What you bring

  • Ideally a university degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in IT (see technical skills)
  • Technical skills:
    • Good computer skills with knowledge of Windows operating systems, client/server technology
    • PLSQL, SQL and database understanding (structure and concepts) in general
    • Script languages like Python, Perl, PowerShell
    • RESTful web services and APIs (JSON/XML) is a plus
  • General understanding of wider system landscape and their dependencies
  • Understanding of monitoring and monitoring systems like Icinga2 is a plus
  • First knowledge in automated software tests (e.g. unit-tests or similar) is a plus
  • Software-Package-Distribution (e.g. with Chocolaty) is a plus
  • Technical knowledge on Blue Yonder WMS/Discrete (JDA/RedPrairie) WMS is a strong demand
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the business and IT
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivating
  • Strong English skills
  • Good French/Spanish/Polish/Dutch/German skills is a big plus
