Rhenus Logistics Continues Growth In Lutterworth Following Opening Of Fourth Warehouse

The addition of a fourth warehouse opening in Lutterworth marked a successful 2021 for Rhenus Logistics, as the logistics provider continues to grow and support the e-commerce sector.

Rhenus plans to leverage its recent success with the opening of its new warehouse and double the size of its business over the next three years, investing significantly in additional capacity, automation and innovation.

This is something that has already allowed the logistics provider to streamline operations, and move forward to the next step of constructing a state-of-the-art, BREEAM outstanding, carbon neutral and climate positive warehouse facility. In line with company values, the design of the new facility will focus on sustainability and employee wellbeing, and be a key component in their aim to be completely carbon neutral by 2026.

The rise of e-commerce has played a major role in the continued success of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Lutterworth. This rise was never more obvious than during Black Friday, which took place on 26 November. More and more brands are turning to third-party logistics suppliers, like Rhenus, to outsource their warehousing to keep up with the growing demand for online shopping and e-commerce.

The logistics provider supports the e-commerce sector by being entrepreneurial, agile and dynamic – meeting the demands of the sector and its consumers. All of these things place Rhenus, and its customers, in a prime position to succeed and excel during peak seasons, which are critical periods for many e-commerce clients.

The results from the Rhenus partnership with British lifestyle brand Skinnydip showcase how they can help businesses achieve its goals.

Skinnydip had an extremely successful Black Friday and Christmas peak in 2020 with order fulfilment and returns processing rates well in excess of 99 per cent. A year end wall-to-wall inventory count also produced results of 99.95 per cent accuracy.

Rhenus is also able to provide a solution to add personalisation onto various accessories including phone cases, water bottles, mugs, books, stationery and other lifestyle products.

Lewis Blitz, Co-Founder at Skinnydip Limited, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Rhenus. The systems and processes they have in place are second to none, but more importantly, the people in the organisation are attentive and cooperative, and I would highly recommend Rhenus to any business that is looking for a best-in-class service.”
