Greater capacity for Rhenus :people!

Rhenus BPO Services is opening another business site for the customer management activities provided by its subsidiary, Rhenus :people!, in Plauen on 1 March. The new office space measuring 800 square metres offers clients of Rhenus :people! additional customer consultant capacity. The site will also enable individual employees to reduce their commuter travel from Plauen to Hof and move their workplace to the new premises. As a result, Rhenus :people! will also be able to increase its employee capacity in Hof.

The Rhenus BPO subsidiary, Rhenus :people!, operates several sites for professional and solution-oriented customer management services for the energy, automobile, IT and telecommunications sectors, the retail business as well as publishing houses in the Vogtland region and the surrounding area. The expansion of business premises has become necessary because of the increase in the volume of orders and the labour market situation.

“The high rate of growth during the last three years at our subsidiary Rhenus :people! is continuing in 2019 without any restrictions. As in previous years, we’re only able to meet our customers’ demand by opening more business locations. Given the current general conditions, I view Plauen as a site with a future – it has great potential for further developing our business,” says Olaf Remmele, Managing Director of Rhenus BPO Services, explaining the latest development.

Customer services will be available 24 hours a day by using several working shifts at the new business site in Plauen. The company has already attracted new employees to the site in Plauen during the last two months and they have undergone training in Hof.

Ralf Oberdorfer, Mayor of the City of Plauen, adds, “I’m really delighted that the Rhenus Group has decided to set up its new business site in Plauen. This once again underlines the attractiveness of the city of Plauen and the competitiveness of the whole business region. My business development department, working with Mr Andreas Quak from Wema Invest GmbH, has been able to present an excellent package for the site. I’m thrilled to see more than 100 new jobs being created in Plauen.”

The official opening of the site took place on 26 February 2019 in the presence of representatives from the city of Plauen and the worlds of business and politics.
