Rhenus upbeat about the exhibition after an exciting few days at the “transport logistic”

Rhenus, the logistics services provider, can already say that its presence at the leading logistics exhibition, the “transport logistic”, has been a success story, even at the start of the final day. Several hundred visitors to the exhibition picked up the information on offer and made use of the opportunities to hold discussions with the corporate group. The Rhenus press conference held on the opening day and dealing with the issue of high-tech logistics was also very well received.

"The “transport logistic” exhibition is an important meeting point for the logistics sector. The presence of customers, services providers, other exhibitors and trade visitors with a keen interest in logistics, IT, mobility and supply chain management triggers a variety of exciting impressions. In the light of the rapid developments in our business, we’ve received valuable new stimuli for our work as a result of the discussions held here and the events attended by visitors,” says Michael Viefers, a Member of the Rhenus Board, summarising the results. More than 2,000 exhibitors attended the logistics exhibition this year.

Rhenus gave a presentation on one new highlight, the integration of the high-tech business unit in its product portfolio, at a press conference attended by international specialist journalists on 4 June 2013. Rhenus Midi Data, one of the pioneers in this special field of logistics, has been part of the corporate group for the past 18 months and has been able to expand in the market place by making use of the resources available within the Rhenus Group.

“We need well trained and qualified employees to cope with our customers’ requirements. One of the other main issues for the company at this year’s exhibition was to show young people how they can join Rhenus and also outline various career opportunities,” said Claus Eckmann, Head of the Service Centre HR at Rhenus. “We’re constantly looking for intelligent people with good ideas, who are prepared to implement them and take on responsibility at our family business with its strong levels of growth and international operations.”
