Rhenus Revival Pools Its Activities in Baden-Württemberg at a New Business Centre

Rhenus Revival GmbH, a subsidiary of the Rhenus Group with its international operations, has moved its Stuttgart branch to Fellbach. The specialist freight forwarder for traffic to the CIS, the Baltic states and Central Asia, will in future pool its business activities in Baden-Württemberg at the Rhenus Freight Logistics business site about five kilometres north-east of Stuttgart.

The company provides procurement and distribution logistics across Europe at the terminal, which measures 8,000 square metres and has more than 100 loading gates. “As a result of the move to Fellbach, we can benefit from the compact network within the Rhenus Group. The new business site offers us improved opportunities to handle project and groupage freight traffic, because the site is directly linked to the Rhenus Freight Logistics European breakbulk freight network,” says Uwe Bierfreund, giving the reasons for the move. He is responsible for the business activities of Rhenus Revival in Fellbach as the Road Product Manager.

Rhenus Revival will use Fellbach to consolidate regular breakbulk cargo traffic to the Community of Independent States along with its bases in Frankfurt/Main, Hilden, Bielefeld, Velten and Grossschirma. The company offers its customers transport and logistics services including customs clearance in Russia in conjunction with the Revival branches in Eastern Europe.

“The core expertise at Rhenus Freight Logistics and Rhenus Revival is complementary. Particularly in the light of the consolidated shipments that are typical of the CIS market, there will be a tangible expansion of our range of services. We serve the customs union using direct services to Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. We also offer services to Ukraine and the Caucasus region,” says Bernd Stichel, Managing Director of Rhenus Revival GmbH.

Rhenus Revival provides transport services with traditional, jumbo or mega trucks, dry van trailers or special vehicles. This makes it possible to transport temperature-sensitive and hazardous goods or shipments involving high-value items or express consignments. The freight forwarder also organises multi-modal transport chains for the CIS by making use of the complete Rhenus network and offers individual service packages. Rhenus Revival handles complex customs clearance procedures in conjunction with the Rhenus Broker Company in Russia and offers warehouse and distribution services from one source in Russia and Ukraine.
