Attended by customers, prospects, partners, employees and representatives of the local economic and corporate sphere, Rhenus inaugurated its three-cell, 20,600-square metre platform at the Port of Strasbourg. The warehouse was built in keeping with new technical and environmental standards, in order to meet existing and future customer requirements.
his real estate investment is part of the Rhenus Group’s ongoing financial commitment policy in France, and particularly in Alsace, over the past ten years. This is a direct result of the group’s strategy to support its customers’ growth by adapting to their service expectations, in addition to regulatory or technical adaptations.
This platform is entirely dedicated to temperature-controlled storage (+15/25°C and +2/8°C and -20°C) for the logistics of healthcare products. Having obtained the High Environmental Quality (French HQE), Biodiversity® and BREEAM labels, it has been designed in accordance with sustainable development objectives. As such, the roof has been fitted with photovoltaic panels covering a large portion of the site’s energy needs, and lighting is entirely LED. The offices and staff areas have also been designed to promote employee well-being. It already serves clients from the healthcare product sector for which Rhenus provides high value-added services, with all the expertise required and in keeping with strict technical and regulatory standards.
