As Shipping Employee you are responsible for performing all duties in the shipping department in order to provide optimal control and registration of the inbound and outbound goods flow. Tasks include inbound and outbound planning, order allocation, planning of docks, maintaining contact with carriers regarding loading/unloading times. You are a real spider in the web, stress resistant and customer friendly. Every day you speak to drivers at the counter. You also check incoming and outgoing shipments. You spot irregularities including poor packaging, defects and damage and register these correctly.
What you bring
The Shipping Employee we are looking for is able to prioritize and works very accurately. You have basic knowledge of transport, forwarding and customs matters and speak the English language well both verbally and in writing. Naturally you can work with operational systems such as WMS, slot booking software, and MS Office (Word and Excel). You also have an intermediate vocational education level.
As Shipping Employee you report to your team leader. The Shipping Employee is all-round employable within all shipping processes.
We offer an ambitious work environment within a growing organization with a collegial working atmosphere and room for personal input, initiative and growth. The Shipping Employee receives a competitive salary package and works the shifted day shift 07:00 - 16:00, 08:00-17:00 or 09:00 - 18:00. The working hours will be agreed with your team and will be deployed on a variable basis.
